Kindergarten is a fun, engaging time for students to learn and grow together. Our classrooms are filled with learning and play, as our youngest students learn letters, numbers and social-emotional skills in warm classroom environments at Lincoln School of Early Learning or Winter Lakes Elementary.
Follow these steps to get started and get connected with your school, teachers and fellow families.
Step 1: Gather key documents
Get ready to register for kindergarten by gathering some key documents. You'll need the following:
Proof of address (ex: utility bill, rental agreement, driver’s license... A property tax statement is not proof of residency.)
Birth verification (kindergartners must be age 5 on or before September 1, 2026, for the 2026-27 school year)
Immunization records (ex: CIS form, certificate of immunizations...)
Recent special education records (if applicable)
Custody documents (if applicable)
Step 2: Enroll now
Families are encouraged to enroll in kindergarten now. It's a great way to get connected with your school, so families can receive updates and information. Additionally, it helps schools plan.
